Epcot with the Three Amigos!

Epcot with the Three Amigos!

Well, kind of. Since the beginning of the planning stages or our family vacation we knew one thing was for sure, Chris, Dad, and myself were all going to Epcot. Even if that meant no one else was going, we were.

Epcot kind of gets a bad rap as being the “boring” park. Let me tell you, it is everything BUT boring. Epcot is one of Christopher and I’s favorite parks to go to. Dad has only been maybe once or twice and had not been in several years. So he was looking forward to it just as much as we were.

It was kind of weird at first not having everyone with us, but we had an absolute blast. My dad and I share a lot of the same interests, so it was so much fun getting to experience all the different things Epcot has to offer with him.

We even had the chance to do things none of us had done before like the American Pavilion and hearing the Voices of Liberty. They were absolutely stunning. Voices like angels and will bring you to tears.

Some of my favorite memories from the day was stopping in all the shops in the World Showcase and making Chris and Dad (and sometimes I joined in) try on different hats from the different countries. It was so much fun.

My absolute favorite moment from the day was when I went to take a picture with Wendy from Peter Pan, we had a whole conversation about how she liked to tell stories to the lost boys. I told her my dad was a great story teller as well and pointed over to him standing quite a bit aways from us against one of the railings.

She immediately went over, grabbed him and walked him over to us and wanted to take a picture with him. Although he may have pretended to be too cool to take a picture with a character, I secretly know it was one of his favorite parts of the day too.

I reccommend that if you have the chance while vacationing at Disney to spend atleast one FULL day at Epcot. You won’t be sorry you did.

Have a Magical Weekend!
