Disney Vacation = Be flexible
Reflecting back on our latest trip I am pleased. We originally planned to go to the Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom one day. We really were trying to have a slow vacation to relax.
That all quickly changes once you reach the Walt Disney World property. It is like the magic completely takes over you and before you know it…you added another park day.
I had set in my plans that we would take the extra days to just do some exploring. I wanted to check out the resorts and some of the free things to do there like Campfire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale.
Unfortunately, the nights that we wanted to do these things got rained out. So we went on to other plans which included dinner at the Port Orleans with my bestie who happened to be in town and surprise us that week.
I am quite the planner and even for a slower vaca I had it all down to the minute. Just kidding…well sorta.
We always go off season and since our trip had already been delayed by three weeks due to a death in our family, I was already off kilter. So it took me a bit to kinda get us all together.
The thing I kept telling myself is that we are on vacation so it is a time to rest and not plan everything out so much. That is hard to do when you have the weather changing and adding in extra days and such. Some things just don’t get done.
Especially at Disney World, you don’t want to miss a thing. I feel like I have to see everything and do as much as possible cause who knows when we get to come back. Am I the only one?
I am not sure why I fret so much over it cause the truth is if I go with the flow and enjoy the magic I will not be disappointed. And with Disney, I rarely am.
Don’t miss next week’s video about Epcot and stuff to do other than the parks at Disney World. Followed up by our second day at Magic Kingdom. Then the week after that Mandi and I are going to sit down and debrief about the DAS and all the changes that surround disabilities at Disney World.
Have a Magical Weekend
