The Original Fantasyland | Our Review
The original Fantasyland. Eventually it will all just be called Fantasyland again but for now it really is easier to distinguish between the two now by defining them as the original and the new.
This is truly the part of the Magic Kingdom that brings out the inner prince or princess in all of us. It is like you were dropped smack dab in the middle of a fairy tale.
It’s a Small World
It is one of the most iconic rides in all of theme parks. No matter what side of the coin you fall on, if you hate it or love it, you have to admit it is one of the best know rides ever!
It’s a small world was created as a tribute to the children of the world for the UNICEF pavilion at the 1964/65 World’s Fair. The boat ride takes you through all kinds scenes of the children singing that beloved song. Which absolutely gets stuck in your head!
The ride last somewhere between 12-15 minutes and is a great way to cool off and relax. The lines do have a tendency to get long at times but it pretty quick moving. It is a Lemons Sister’s Must Do and do and do and do!
Peter Pan’s Flight
My favorite!!! I just love love love this ride. I am not really sure why though. I think just the thought of going up in my own ship over one of my favorite stories just does something to me.
Your flight only last 2 minutes and 45 seconds. For such a short ride this line can be upward to an hour. So it is important to plan it out and get your fastpass.
It is been here since 1971. So it really has stood the test. A true classic. Very simple in it’s nature but still amazing.
Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Technically this is the oldest attraction in Fantasyland. You will feel like all your dreams really can come true while spinning around the middle of Fantasyland listening to all your favorite Disney songs.
No two of the 90 horses are exactly the same. As a matter of fact there is one special horse which is said to be Cinderella’s horse. It is easy to spot because it is the only one that has a golden ribbon on it’s tail. Next time, see if you can spot it.
Right outside the Carousel is the sword from The Sword in the Stone. It gives visitors the opportunity to try their strength in pulling the sword out. A feat most cannot pass up. It is also an excellent photo opp.
Keep your eye out for the rest of the attraction of Fantasyland this Friday. What is your favorite ride in Fantasyland? Is it your favorite land? Let us know what you are thinking:)
Have a Magical Day!
