The New Fantasyland – The Rides
You asked for what’s new at the most magical place on earth and we are here to please. The newest thing at WDW is the new Fantasyland. It opened in phases, starting in March 2012.
We are going to talk about the two newest rides that have opened this year. Those two rides are Enchanted Tales with Belle and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. On Friday, Mandi will be talking about the restaurants in new Fantasyland.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
I would describe not as a show or a ride. I think it really is more of an experience. One that you sure don’t want to miss.
Let me first say, get there early. We headed straight to the new Fantasyland when we went in January of 2013 and still waited for over an hour. There is no fast pass or handicap entrance for this attraction.
The line for ETwB is the outside of Maurice’s cottage, which is amazing. All the details arenothing short of what you would expect of Disney. When you finally enter the cottage you are met with all of Belle’s childhood pics and toys and books.
You are then escorted into the experience where all your favorite characters play special roles. Even some of the guests play roles in the experience. There is magic, music, and all the wonders of this beloved classic. The experience lasts for about 20-30 minutes.
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
I was looking forward to this ride more than anything else in the expansion. I was not let down by the beauty of the ride. When you explore the outside of the ride it is just absolutely gorgeous.
Entering the ride, you are exposed to a sunset that is breathtaking! Then here come the clam shells. It is such an exciting way to experience the ride.
The ride takes you through the scenes of the movie. It doesn’t miss a beat, literally. The music is pumping throughout. It is such a magical ride especially if you are a fan of Ariel and her friends.
We think you are going to enjoy both of these new rides as much as we did. We can’t wait to hear about what you thought of them.
Have a magical day
