Packing for a day at a Disney Park! 10-6

Packing for a day at a Disney Park!

Just want to share with you some of my must-haves when packing for a day at the park!

Here are five things that you MUST have when going for a day at a Disney park!

10 – PonchosMickey Ponchos

Chances are, at least once during your trip you will get to enjoy one of Florida’s wonderful afternoon downpours. Don’t let this get you down, they usually pass quickly, but may last for an hour or two. You can either wait it out inside a shop or throw on a poncho and continue your Disney adventure! If you buy them at Disney you will pay a pretty penny, so I suggest running to Wal-Mart and picking yourself up a few ponchos. Most run about a dollar apiece.

9 – Comfy Shoes

When spending a day at the parks the average person walks between ten and fifteen miles. This can be pretty tiring on the feet and may cause some painful blisters the next day!

I recommend wearing your most comfortable pair of sneakers throughout the parks. Your footsies will thank you!

8 – Sunscreen/Lip Balm

Although most of the parks have plenty of shaded areas, you will still be getting a lot of sun, and a burn is not the souvenir you are looking for!

Remember to apply sunscreen before going into the park, and bring a small container with you to reapply later that afternoon! And don’t forget the lip balm! Peeling lips do not make for romantic nights later on.

7 – Water

Hydration is important, and a hot day at the park can make this an uphill battle if you’re not prepared! To avoid overheating and fend off the weariness and headaches it brings, pack a few bottles of water for your stay.

My husband and I traditionally buy a large pack of 16oz bottled waters to keep in the freezer at our hotel. Toss a couple of frozen bottles in your backpack, as as the day goes on, boom! Instant ice-water!

As a further plus, if you carry a thin drawstring backpack like we do, the ice keeps you cool while you’re wearing the pack!

6 – Backpack

A backpack is a must, but I personally recommend the “Cinch Sac” from 31gifts.com because it is lightweight, and you can customize it to add more magic to your day!

But whatever your choice, make sure it will hold everything you need and that it’s not going to be hot and heavy while carrying it through the parks. Also, cuteness matters, and friends don’t let friends wear fanny-packs!

Check back tomorrow for numbers 5-1!

Have a Magical Day!
