Liberty Square Review
Liberty square is such a small piece of the Magic Kingdom. Yet it boasts some of the best attractions at Walt Disney World. In the era of colonial americana, you are spared no lack of magic from the buildings to the costumes.
There are so many little touches that you don’t want to miss! There are so many great little shops like Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. This is where you can get anything and everything christmas.
A wonderful tradition that my family does is that we get an ornament with the year we visited. This shop has way more than just ornaments though. It has all your christmas needs in one place. Well christmas Disney style that is.
One of the main attractions is the Hall of Presidents. This is a must do for history buffs. It really stirs your patriot spirit.
When you walk into the building you are hit with the sense of how deeply Walt Disney loved America. In the cue/pre-show are you will find tons of Presidential portraits and memorabilia.
Once inside you will find this vast theatre inviting. The presentation begins with a short movie about our great nation. Now some may find this boring but with Morgan Freeman narrating it is not hard at all to sit and listen.
In the next portion we are introduced to all the Presidents. Abraham Lincoln delivers the Gettysburg Address. You will be in awe of how life like they are.
The Presidents introduce themselves and then select one give some words. This 22 minute ride is not on everyone’s radar but if there is someone in your party who likes history this is a must do! For the rest of us, it is a great place to rest in the cool air conditioning.
Keep an eye out on Friday for when Mandi talks about the rest of Liberty Square including The Haunted Mansion and some great places to eat!
Have a Magical Day
