Getting to the Magic Kingdom Gates
We know that you all are excited to head off to the Magic Kingdom but we need to put some things into perspective. So, First things first!
There are various ways to get to the actual MK park. If you are staying in a resort on WDW property, you have lots of ways to get there. There is the monorail, the buses, the ferry. They are all for your connivence.
The other way to get there is when you stay off property, is to drive. Parking at the MK now cost you $15 per car. That actually is a $1 increase from last year. Unless you are an Annual Passholder, in which case you have free parking.
Once you stroll into the parking lot, the attendants will show you exactly where to park and at this point you will need to take a picture of the row you are parked in. This is so that you will remember it at the end of your day.
You then procede down to the main road where you will get on your first ride, The Tram! I know we are way too excited about it but it brings such anticipation to all the magic your day will be filled with.
Make sure you keep all your party together as there will be a mad dash to get on the first tram that comes. If there isn’t room for you, don’t worry. There will be one coming right up behind the one you missed.
If you have strollers, have them closed up to get on the tram. Hold those little ones tight for this short ride to the ticket station. For the tall people in your group warn them to watch their heads and knees so there are not any injuries to start the day off bad.
After you get your tickets you will then make a choice between the monorail or the ferry. We suggest to always ride the monorail over to the MK. In our opinion it gives you the best view of the WDW resorts on your way to MK and just helps add to the excitement of the day!
The monorail is your second ride of the day and will drop you off right at the gates. Disney has made lots more magic for you before you even enter the park. Stay tuned for the revealed magic before you enter on friday with Mandi’s blog.
Have a Magical Day!
