Frontierland
Frontierland has some of the most memorable rides and shows at Disney World. They are classics that bring a western feel complete with wood carvings and the frontier trading post.
So, lets get to it. First up is the mountains. Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain that is. Big Thunder Mountain is a little bit of a rough roller coaster in my opinion. Although it doesn’t have the speed, loops and twists as some of the other known coasters at Disney, it lacks nothing in the scenic department and excitement.
It was just recently reimagined to include explosions and some new scenery and will be sure to take you on a wonderful adventure as if you really are going through the mountains.
Now, Splash Mountain isn’t technically a roller coaster, but it does give you the big drops like it is one. The greatest thing, and my favorite part of the ride, is the inside of the mountain. Based off the movie “Song of the South”, you follow Brer Rabbit through all kinds of trouble. The best time to ride is at night. Right before you take the big plunge down, you get a full view of the castle and it is breathtaking.
One of the most iconic and beloved shows on Frontierland has got to be “The Country Bear Jamboree”. I have always loved show since I was a little girl.
This is also a great way to cool off on a hot day. It all takes place in a theatre indoors. You get to join in with the whole bear family as they show off their musical talents. There are so many great songs that you will surely be singing for weeks to come.
Now, my favorite place for an amazing quick service meal in the Magic Kingdom is located in the heart of Frontierland at Pecos Bill. This restaurant offers indoor and great outdoor seating as well as a fixins bar with all the toppings you could ever want.
May I suggest my favorite though, their taco salad. I don’t know what it is about that taco salad, but I have yet to find one that compares to it. If you time it right, you can grab an outdoor seat and catch a great view of the parade. These seats go fast though, so make sure to time it out.
That’s all for today. Ya’ll come back now, ya hear?
