Planning Your Next Disney Vacation
There is a method to the madness of planning a vacation to Disney. In general a Disney vacation is expensive to say the least. So to help keep costs down so that the average family you must learn to plan.
Now I am pretty much a planner but not the crazy kind. I know how to be flexible so that I don’t let the process make me and my family nuts. But where exactly do you start? Glad you asked!!
You need to start out answering these simple questions: Who, What, Where, When, and How.

Who
The who, of course is who is going. This is determining factor because it affects so many other aspects of your vacation. It plays a big role in lodging, travel and what limitations you have on activities.
When
The time of year that you go determines a lot of your budget. There are specials Disney runs during different times of the year that may just make it so much more affordable.
You also have to consider if you want to fight crowds or not. Some people have no choice but to go during the summer due to work and school. If that is the case then you find a way to make it work!
How
How are you getting there. If you have a large group going you may want to drive. If it is just a small group or if you have saved up for it, flying may be right for you. This is a big chunk of your budget and needs to be determined very quickly in this process.
Where
To me this is a biggie. I am very picky about where we stay. I also don’t like to spend lots of money. As I am getting older and love my rest more, choosing a nice, clean place to stay that won’t break my budget is very important!
What
I feel like this is the one my family goes round and round about. If you watched this week’s vlog about planning your next Disney vacation, you will hear Mandi declare that her and Chris will no matter what be going to the parks for at least five days, if not more.
BAHAHAHAHA! If you have been following this page you will know the next morning Mandi found out that she is expecting! So this put the skids on her grand plans.
Which is wonderful for us, since we like to take things a little slower with a two and a half year old. So at the time of our grand adventure, Mandi will be six months pregnant.
This plays a big factor in the what category. We have revised our plan to suit the whole family and I think it is going to be one of the best vacations we have ever had. Of course till the next trip when we take baby ables for her first trip!
I sure hope this help kick starts your planning process. We love to answer and help in anyway we can so don’t hesitate to drop us a line.
Until next time….
Have a Magical Day!
